"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."
-Lao Tzu
Warm wishes to all; may we be inspired by Lao Tzu’s above quote and move through the Holidays and perhaps more importantly start 2025 with this quote as our guiding light, welcoming this New Year with Peace and Purpose.

Nature invites us to turn inward, embracing winter’s wisdom as we enter what Ayurveda ( Yoga’s sister science) calls Kapha season. The ideal time for us to allow our bodies and spirits to adjust and attune to nature’s rhythms by slowing down, restore and nurture our vital energy rather than deplete it.
Like the bears in their winter dens, we too are meant to embrace this yin phase – a time of gentle introspection and deep nourishment.
As we step into 2025, we invite you to approach your practice with renewed curiosity and compassion, mindful of winter's call to gentleness. Do take the time to challenge yourself too, the body needs the stimulation and strengthening but remember the key to wellness is about balance. Support your stronger workouts with classes like Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Qi Gong, Yoga Nidra, Meditation. If curious about meditation but wonder how to start and which type of meditation try Evelyne’s workshop “Meditation Demystified" on Jan 18th.
All these types of classes are available weekly at the Yoga Shala, taught by very experienced teachers.
As we move through this Kapha season together, let's honor our bodies' natural rhythms and need for restoration. Every gentle breath, every mindful movement is an opportunity to nurture our vital energy. Let's support each other in finding the perfect balance between staying warm and active while respecting winter's call for deeper rest.
May you find balance between effort and Ease in your practice and in your daily lives.
Namaste 🙏🏻
