Tai Chi combines the mindful posture and integrated body coordination of traditional martial arts with an awareness of internal movement (Qi) from traditional Chinese medicine. Typically practiced with slow, relaxed movements that are adaptable to individual needs, Tai Chi can provide a gently challenging workout for just about anyone, helping to relieve the effects of stress and energize tired joints and muscles.
Tai Chi is a low impact exercise that promotes balance, strength, flexibility, stress relief and the principles of self-defense. This class will include 1) foundation exercises for strength flexibility and postural alignment, 2) core Tai Chi movements for whole-body coordination, and 3) self-massage for cooling down and promoting circulation.
