Mala is an ancient spiritual technique that has been used to assist with concentration and awareness during meditation for thousands of years. Malas are a string of beads that allow meditators to count prayers, mantras, or affirmations they recite.
Despite their ancient nature, Malas are an excellent tool for the mind that can help plant more positive beliefs within it. Instead of sitting in stillness and working with a wandering mind, you have a sensory experience of the beads on your hands and a mantra to hone your focus on.
This process creates an effortless presence and can help build a solid foundation for a clear, nourishing, and meditative experience.
We will dive into the purpose of mala beads, learn various ways to use them, and practice with one mantra as a group. We will have a few mantras to choose from for your home practice. The workshop will conclude with a gong bath to seal your experience.
