The women of Our Woven Community are my inspiration daily, each having lived for decades in refugee camps after escaping violence and persecution in their home countries. Imagine having to resettle your family to a foreign place with nothing but the clothes on your back. These women are my teachers and help me to understand human capacity, strength and the potential that love has to overcome the deepest of struggles.  Our Woven Community provides local refugee women with a skill, income and a community of friends all helping them to integrate into a new life. The money raised from this fundraiser will help women pay their utility bills and provide for other necessities in their lives.  After class, enjoy a shot of fresh squeezed ginger elixir and have an opportunity to purchase a holiday gift with meaning from Our Woven Community.

All donations will support the refugee artisans of Our Woven Community. Even if you can’t make it donations are graciously accepted and so appreciated.
