Luckily, traditional meditation isn’t the only way to achieve greater mental clarity. When you consider that cardiovascular exercise also promotes mental wellness and nature increases our overall feeling of happiness, combining these into a walking meditation seems like a natural next step. In this workshop we will first meet at the studio to discuss a proposed meditative technique called “Breath Walk”, its purpose and benefits. We will then proceed to our local destination for our meditative hike and conclude our afternoon back at the studio to share our experience over tea and healthy snacks. THE HIKE The hike is 1.5miles loop, considered moderate and will take about 40 to 45 minutes. It is our intention to bring more challenging hikes and meditation offerings to our community. This hike, Samp Mortar and Mountain Laurel, is considered a preparation for future more challenging walking meditations in the Appalachian trails. Please wear appropriate attire.
